2016 Hajj: Jigawa Loses Two Pilgrimsin Saudi Arabia during the annual 2016 Hajj

The Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board on Tuesday, September 20, confirmed the death of two pilgrims from the state in Saudi Arabia during the annual 2016 Hajj.

Alhaji Ibrahim hashim, the Public Relations Officer of the board disclosed this in an interview with the Newsmen on Tuesday in Dutse.

Hashim said the pilgrims, male and female died in the holy land after brief illness.

He said the male faithful hailed from Birniwa Local Government Area, while the female was from Dutse Local Government Area.

The spokesman said the deceased had since been buried in accordance with Islamic rites.

No fewer than 2,369 pilgrims from the state performed the 2016 Hajj.
