The popular defender who collapsed on October 3 was said to have been recuperating, but unconfirmed reports on Social Media platforms suggest that the Indomitable Lion has passed away.

After his collapse, he was said to have been flown to France for further treatment since he recovered from coma.

However, there are no confirmed reports that he is dead, but information circulating on most Social Media platforms suggest he is no more.

A former teammate Samuel Eto’o who earlier tweeted in French: “I wish you courage and a speedy recovery big brother” later tweeted again after hearing the sad news again “sad to hear the demise of my big brother, RIP”.

Song played 137 times for his country and had spells with English clubs Liverpool and West Ham.
