#EdoDecides: Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu has just been endorsed by a socio-cultural group, known as the Nedoghama Nedo

With just one week to the forthcoming governorship election in Edo state, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the state, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu has just been endorsed by a socio-cultural group, known as the Nedoghama Nedo.

The ‎Nedoghama Nedo comprises chiefs from the palace of the Oba of Benin, traditional priests, business owners and professionals.

The endorsement was announced by the Eson of Benin Kingdom, Chief Amos Osunbor after a meeting in Benin, the state capital.

On why the group endorsed the PDP candidate, Osunbor stressed that after the group accessed  Ize-Iyamu and candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Godwin Obaseki, members of the group were convinced that the former was the right person to take Edo state to an enviable level.

In his words, “We have painstakingly assessed the two candidates (Obaseki and Ize-Iyamu) and we have found that Ize-Iyamu is the man for the job.”

Reacting to the endorsement, Pastor Iyamu stressed that the electorates had already shown eagerness to dislodge the APC from power even as he promised to reciprocate the support of Edo people if elected.
